There are five BTC colleges in Aligarh district. One BTC college is government owned named as DIET Aligarh, and other 4 BTC institutes are privately held. Despite prestigious Aligarh Muslim University, AMU this city also has many higher education universities and institutes.
DIET Aligarh has 200 seats for candidates doing their BTC degree. Other private BTC centres has 50 seats each among which 50% or 25 seats are reserved for women and 25 are reserved for men. There is no special category college i.e. Minority quota or Women only BTC institute in Aligarh.
