Age Limit criteria for Delhi Police Head Constable:

Age limit for Delhi Police Constable is 18-27 years (UR/EWS ) as on 01.07.2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02.07.1992 and not later than 01.07.2001). Permissible relaxation in Upper age limit for different categories as under:-

Eligibility Criteria for Delhi Police Head Constable

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10 + 2) from any recognised board or institution of India with Science & Mathematics as subjects at the time of filling up of application form.
• (OR) National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-Cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.

Professional Requirement:-

• English word processing speed-1000 key depressions in 15 minutes.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Func tions:- Opening/Closing of PC, prin ting, MS office usage, saving & modification in typed text, paragraph setting & numbering etc.

Physical Efficiency / Endurance Test Qualification: 

Male Candidates: For candidates including ex-servicemen and departmental candidates (age-wise) will be as under:

Female candidates: For candidates including departmental candidates and widow/ divorced/ judicially separated women candidates will be as under:

• NOTE: Those who qualify in the race will be eligible to appear in Long Jump and then High Jump.
• Long Jump and High Jump are to be cleared in any one of the three chances that shall be given for each event.
• There will be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump and high jump.
• The female candidates, who are pregnant, at the time of PE&MT will not be allowed to participate in Physical Endurance Test. Her Physical Endurance Test will be conducted after “the period of confinement” and till then result of such cases will be kept in a sealed cover.

Medical Standard for Delhi Police recruitment:-

• The candidates should be of sound health, free from disease, defect or deformity.
• Better eye 6/6 without glasses. Worse eye 6/36 corrected with glasses 6/9 or 6/12 without glasses (both eyes).
• The candidate should be free from colour blindness.

Delhi Police Head Constable Pay Scale:

Pay scale : Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100/-
Delhi Police HC Grade Pay: Rs. 2400/- .

According to 7th Pay commission, Grade Pay 2,400 comes under Pay Matrix Level-4 (25,500-81,100).

Delhi Police Head Constable total in-hand salary in 7th pay commission:
Basic Pay (under grade pay 2400) = ₹25,500
Current DA = 21% (as of Jan 2020)
Total initial salary = 25,500 + 5,355 + House rant

DP Head Constable Application Fee:

General /OBC/EWS : ₹100
SC / ST / PH : Nil
Female All Category : Nil
