Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 712 Asst. Engineering posts for Combined State Engineering Services (General Recruitment) Examination 2019 – 2020 and Combined State Engineering Services Physically Handicapped (Backlog/Special Recruitment) Examination – 2019. UPPSC Asst. Engineering Jobs 2020 Details:

1. General Recruitment : 692 posts

2. UPPSC AE Special Recruitment: 20 vacancies

Age Limit:

• Between 21 to 40 years on 1 July, 2019 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1979 and not later than July 1, 1998.
• Age relaxation:
  • 5 Years – for OBC, SC, ST of Uttar Pradesh, Skilled players, State government employees
  • 15 years: for physically handicapped persons of U.P.

Candidates working as an employee under the Central or State Government will have to produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ i.e. NOC from their employer at the time of interview issued by the competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Degree in Agriculture/ Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years
• Obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
• Successfully completed one year training as trainee

UPPSC AE Application Fee:

The prescribed fee of examination for different categories is as under:-

• For General & OBC Category: ₹ 225 (Rs. 200/- Fee + ₹25 On-line processing Fee)
• For SC/ ST Category: ₹ 105 (Rs. 80/- Fee + ₹25 On-line Processing Fee)
• For Physically Handicapped Candidates: ₹ 25 (Exam Fee NIL + ₹25)
• For ex-service Man: ₹ 105 (Rs. 80/- Fee + ₹25)

UP PSC AE Exam marking criteria:

Assistant Engineer exam will have objective type Question papers. Penalty (Negative Marking) shall be imposed for wrong answers given by the candidates which is as below:-

• There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
• If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happens to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
• If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate there will be no penalty for that question.

UPPSC Asst Engg. Pay Scale:

Pay  scale : Rs. 15,600 – Rs. 39,100/-
Grade Pay: Rs. 5400/- .

According to 7th Pay commission, grade Pay 5,400 comes under Level 10 of 7th CPC pay matrix table.

UPPSC Asst Engineer salary in 7th pay commission:
Basic Pay (under grade pay 5400) = ₹56,100
Current DA = 21% (as of Jan 2020)
Total initial salary = 56,100 + 11,781 + House rant

The dates and venue for the UPPSC AE exam shall be informed by the Commission later on through UPPSC AE Admit Card. Candidates have to verify all original certificates at the time of interview. Candidates will
also be required to furnish four passport size Photographs, two unattested and two attested by their Head of Department or Head of the Institution where they received education or by a Gazetted Officer at the time of Interview.
