SSC CGL Tier-I Exam Age Limit:
- Candidates age limit should not to above 30 years for Sub Inspector (NIA) & Asst Enforcement Officer,
- For Statistical Investigator Gr. II Post applicants age should not be above 32 years,
- For Assistant & Tax Asst (CBEC) Post age should be between 20-27 years,
- Candidates age must be between 21 years to 27 years for Assistant (Intelligence Bureau) Post,
- Candidates who wish to apply for Sub Inspector (Central Bureau of Investigation) Post must be between 20 years to 30 years,
- For Sub Inspector (Group C) Post age limit is 18 years to 25 years,
- For all remaining posts candidates must be below 18 years & not to above 27 years as on 01-08-2015.
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.
SSC CGL Tier-I Exam Qualification Criteria:
- For Compiler Post: Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
- For Statistical Investigator Grade–II Post: interested candidates should possess Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level “OR” Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
- All other Posts: Applicants minimum qualification must be Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
- All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for appearing at the Interview/Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Certificate of Graduation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01st August, 2015

Application Fee for SSC CGL Tier-I Exam:
- Candidates who wish to apply for SSC CGL Tier 1 should have to pay the fee of Rs. 100/- through online mode and offline mode.
- All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.
- Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.
- Online Mode: Candidates can pay the application fee through online via official website of SSC www.ssconline.nic.in & ssconline2.gov.in.
- Offline Mode: Candidates should pay the fee by means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only.
Selection Process of SSC CGL Tier-I Exam:
- The Examination will comprise of two Tiers of Written Objective Type examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Interview/Skill Test, wherever applicable as per the Scheme of Examination. Posts have been placed in two groups, inter-alia, based on their Grade Pay and papers in Tier II Examination/Interview.
- After the Written Examination and the Interview /Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/Document verification wherever applicable, the Commission will draw up the All India Merit List for each category of post.
How to Apply for SSC CGL:
- The application must be submitted only in the prescribed format on – line or on paper/off-line. (Check Annexure-I from official notification).
- For detailed instructions relating to Application Form, instructions for filling up the application form and for on-line payment/submission of application, candidates are advised to refer to Annexure-I, II A & II B (Check Official Notification).

- Applicants should retain registration number assigned to them on line for correspondence with the commission.
- Applicants should not submit print outs of their application to the commission.
- The facility of on-line application will be available upto 28 May 2015 (05:00 pm) for SSC CGL Part-I Registration and for SSC CGL Part-II Registration upto 01.06.2015 (5.00 p.m.).
